🔹 Translating the Plugin #
1. Using Poedit #
- Open the default translation template:
/wp-content/plugins/darkify-pro/languages/darkify-pro.pot - Translate strings into your desired language.
- Save the files with the proper naming convention:
darkify-pro-LOCALE.po darkify-pro-LOCALE.mo👉 Example: German →darkify-pro-de_DE.po darkify-pro-de_DE.mo - Upload the translated files back into the
/languages/folder. - WordPress will automatically load the correct language files if your site language matches the file’s locale code.
2. Using Multilingual Plugins #
- Loco Translate → Translate directly from the WordPress dashboard.
- WPML / Polylang → Plugin strings appear in their string translation interface.
- TranslatePress → Apply translations directly from the frontend editor.
- Weglot → Handles translations automatically once set up.
